This entrance gallery photograph shows a grey veined floor in a straight grid beneath a statement light fixture. The broad pieces and reflective finish create a continuous view from the entrance toward the adjoining rooms.
Layout through the entrance
The joint grid guides the eye along the hall and meets the surrounding walls and doorways. For a similar floor, discuss alignment with the entrance, balanced cuts and transitions to the adjacent finishes.
Appearance and everyday use
A reflective surface changes with room lighting and can emphasize the tile’s variation. Choose the exact floor product for its intended use, traction and maintenance requirements. A photograph alone cannot identify the material or establish its suitability for your home.
Planning the floor assembly
Tile dimensions, substrate condition and floor height affect the installation. Share the existing floor, room measurements and preferred tile with the installer so preparation and transitions can be considered in the estimate.
