Tile installation services for your home

Bathrooms & showers

Bathroom floors, shower walls, tub surrounds, niches and mosaic details. Plan the layout together with the backing, waterproofing and drain connections.

Kitchen backsplashes

Subway tile, mosaics and decorative patterns, with attention to windows, outlets, cabinet lines and exposed edges.

Interior tile floors

Kitchen, bathroom and entrance floors using tile suited to the room. Discuss the substrate, large-format layouts and transitions to adjoining finishes.

We also offer waterproofing and surface preparation, heated tile floor installation and tile repairs and regrouting. Share the condition of the existing surface so the proposed work addresses more than the visible finish.

Tile work in Toronto houses and condos

In an existing house, the condition below the old finish matters as much as the tile you choose. Floor height, adjoining rooms, old wall finishes and access for materials all affect the work. Let us know if the home will remain occupied or if the room is your only bathroom.

For a condo, confirm the building’s renovation requirements with management before scheduling. Working hours, elevator reservations, delivery access, parking, disposal and required contractor documents vary by building. Share these details early so installation can be coordinated with the rest of your renovation.

Include your Toronto neighbourhood or postal code when contacting us. We confirm the location and project requirements individually; any plumbing, electrical or cabinet changes should be coordinated with the trades responsible for them.

Preparation, layout and the finished details

A successful tile installation starts before the first tile is set. We discuss the existing surface, the selected tile and the layout, including cuts at corners, niches, windows and doorways. Grout colour, trims and transitions should be decided as part of the finish.

For a shower, tile and grout alone are not a waterproof assembly. The backing, water-management system, corners, penetrations and drain connection need compatible details. For a floor, substrate condition and movement must be considered alongside tile size and floor height.

Bring a tile sample or product link so we can discuss its suitability for the space. Read our guide to tile patterns and layouts or questions to ask about shower waterproofing if you are comparing options.

What affects the cost of your tile project?

A square-foot figure on its own does not describe the whole installation. Existing tile removal, substrate repairs, waterproofing, tile size, pattern complexity, niches, edges and site access can all change the scope. A small backsplash and a shower rebuild involve different work even when their tiled areas are similar.

For an initial discussion, send:

  • Your Toronto location and whether the property is a house or condo.
  • The room, approximate measurements and photos of the whole area.
  • Your preferred tile, including its dimensions or a product link.
  • Any removal, leaks, cracks, floor heating or work involving other trades.
  • Your preferred timing and any building access restrictions.

We can then discuss what needs to be assessed and what the proposed work should include. Photos are useful, but concealed damage and detailed measurements may require an on-site assessment. See our tile installation cost guide for the factors to compare.

From first contact to installation

  1. Share your project. Send the location, room details, photos and preferred tile through our contact form, or call to discuss the work.
  2. Confirm the scope. Discuss preparation, access, tile layout, finishes, availability and any assessment needed before the work is agreed.
  3. Coordinate the installation. Confirm building arrangements, responsibilities of other trades and the sequence of work. Allow for the installed products’ curing and return-to-service requirements.

Our tile installation timeline guide explains the stages to consider when planning room access.

Toronto tile installation questions

Do you install tile in Toronto condos?

Yes. Send the project and building details so we can discuss the tile work and access arrangements. Confirm renovation approval, permitted hours and any contractor requirements with your building management before the work is scheduled.

Can I contact you about a small kitchen backsplash?

Yes. Include photos, approximate wall measurements and your preferred tile. Mention windows, outlets, shelves and the range hood so we can discuss the full scope and confirm availability.

Do you install large-format tile and mosaics?

Yes. Share the tile dimensions and intended room. Large-format tile, mosaics and decorative patterns have different surface preparation, cutting and layout requirements.

Can you give an exact installation price from photos?

Photos help start the discussion, but the final scope may depend on detailed measurements, the condition of the substrate and any concealed damage. We will discuss what needs to be assessed before the work is agreed.

Do you also work outside Toronto?

We also serve Burlington, Oakville and other GTA communities. Include your location and project details so we can confirm service availability.
